woke up later than usual.
cuz i slept at 1.30AM.
missed my alarm clock.

wendys' so gonna have her eye bags! =X
cuz she slept at that time too!

The gals were called up to the hall for attire & bra check.
Make us read our books for longer period of time. -.=
Was sleeping abit. haha.

Our class was the first class to take class photos.
We guys got back to class, went to toilet,
took our time. =X then miss siti was kinda pissed off.

out of every place, why the canteen?!
arghh. let's hope they edit the background =D

Took 2 formal shots.

then she gave me the "um chio" face
say i will know next week.
Then i kept pestering her,

but she keep giving the "um chio" face when i kept asking if it's flour
cuz the teachers already know the topic.

After recess was 3 periods of F&N.
Ms lum taught us today.
Today's lesson was the most fun out of almost ALL the F&N lessons.
kept laughing. haha.

but it was boring at the beginning of the lesson.

relaxed during MT lesson.
Went home straight after school.
saw the 3gals bullying 1gal de video.
Slept form 3sth to 7.15pm.

boring~
wanted to sleep VERY much.
Was talking about yesterday's wc match.
Damn it. i get 'angry' whenever i talk about that match.

History lesson was sort of a lecture.
so nvr learn anything regarding history.

Then was PE.
Was rather fun yet tiring.
haha.

Didn't eat during recess. cuz no time and lazy to buy. =X

recess was followed by EL.
Mrs raj had to go off durin the lesson
after she received an emergency call.
After receiving the call,
she packed her thing very quickly!

Went back to class even before the bell ring.

Slept for awhile.
Then was maths.
learnt more on probability.
crap with zong.

After school went to mac.

Woke up at 5.50am today.
prepared slowly for school.

Had a LONG silent reading period.
Then went up to the hall for assembly.

Had EL.
slack as usual.
Then was recess.
Q-ed with haoyou.
Maths after recess.
Learned probability.
Did some questions on it.

Then was F&N.
guess what.
Currently, we have 2 teachers-miss lum and mayerchan, taking over mdm aisha
as mdm aisha is on sick leave for god knows how long.
Both teachers teaching us F&N at the same time during lesson time.

Went to coffee shop with kwee after school.
Ate ice-kachang.
Then went for band.
Taught them some more stuffs before sir came.
then was brass section de 'test'.
the music room was very cold~

Then sectional-ed with roy,junhao n nolly with abit of jeremy.
Packed up and went to cwp with kok.
Ate at mac.
been so long since i last ate at mac.

slept rather late yesterday.
intended to wake up at 5.50am.
but guess wat?! the alarm went off but i didn't wake up!
lucky my father woke me up at 6.30am. phew~
Reached school at like 7.15am?

After silent reading was the routine check.
many different types of hairstyles can be seen throughout the parade squade.
haha. of course those outlandish hairstyles were not acceptable.

1st two periods were formteacher period.
new timetable. ms han's our new cme teacher!
arghh~ like tt 8 periods of POA per week. ='(

then ms siti told us to gather in 2 circles on the road outside the chem labs.
discussed the new rules for our class as requested by ms cheah.
didn't really discuss. =X
Then was SS lesson. boring.
Chem did some qns.

During recess,
yingzhi and jasmine asked me about my bro in sec 3.
haha.

After recess,
went to 4e3's classroom for EL.
boring. kept disturbing syaza. haha.
when the bell rang, i told mrs raj about it
(by shouting across the whole classroom).
Her reaction was 'OH YA! i want to go home!'
then she packed up and left.
haha.

Mdm Chong took over CME as ms han was absent from school.
Some admin stuffs~

Then was MT lesson.
boring la~

Went to the coffee shop with kwee and kok after school.
ate my lunch. =)
Then chatted for a while.

Went for band after that.
They're having sectionals.
Managed to teach the trumpeters one by one.
Some de techniques improved ba.
but i hope they still remember. =X

Woke up at 3pm today.
Set my alarm clock to 11.30am today
but i woke up and went back to sleep again =X
Was woken up twice by the workers revamping my block. arghh~
but went back to sleep again. =D
Lastly, i was woken up at a call from joyce.

Then met jiahui, 962 bus stop at 4.30pm.
Jiaen went to put the stuffs.
Then jiahui and me went to andrew's house that level.
Jiahui wanted to scare them but failed. haha

Then me and her went to buy 2packets of 5kg ice.
Headed to the bbq pit at blk 518.
Kaian, Andrew, Evan, Eddy, Jiajun, Anrui, Haoyou, Xiukai, Jiatian, Sili and Jiaen were there.
Zhaowei, Jinying, Peifen, Junyong, Defu, Yingliang, Sylvia, Peihoon came later at a different time each.

Went to Vista pt with drew and zhao.
Placed our bets.
Total of $80.
Scratch card was THANK YOU. -.=

Walked back.
Started bbq-ing.
I peng the hotdogs and some satays!
NICE right?!
haha.

Ate till VERY FULL!
Many jokes crack every now and then. =D
Jiahui, Kaina and me then went to 88 collect the CAKE!=)
Jiahui brought the scooter along. ps man.
Took our time to walk back =X

Went up to drew's house collect weiqi's present to jinying.
Kaian was guailan-ing.
He left the yakult bottle outside drew's house.
Then left jinying's present in front of a house.
Took the lift down then up again. -.=
Went back to take the present.
Kaian ran down the stairs, trying to scare us by lying that the present was missing.
didn't fall for that. haha.
Saw junyong and defu on our way back.
Brought them to andrew's house.

Towards the end of the bbq, we cracked ALOT of jokes.
esp. peifen, jiahui and drew.
haha. =)
Took down some videos.
Eddy was sitting down in a corner.

Sylvia took a LONG time to get to the bbq pit.
She was lost. =X

Cut cake for jinying!
Sang birthday song.

Total cost for bbq was about $250.
Each person have to pay like $15 or $16.
Took some photos before leaving the pit.
too bad, some went home already as it was 12am+ by then.

Sylvia, Drew, Kaian and me then acc xiukai home and then went to 512 to have supper.
Ate the usual thing for our supper-roti prata. haha.
Eat that everytime the four of us go there.
So full.

Walked home quickly as it was about to rain~
Kaian RAN home. haha.

-WEDNESDAY-
Slept at 4am and woke up at 11am.
Went to meet Zhao, adm at 12.30pm.
Eddy was supposed to be there too.
He was still asleep when we called him. -.=
He slept at 4am i think.

Went to the wet market.
Bought 2.5kg of prawns and 1.5kg of squids.
Cost around 30+?
Then went to prime supermarket.
Bought 7 packets of hotdog~

Then we parted.
Took home the squids and hotdogs.
Looked around for any tips for the matches later.

Did maths from 3pm to 6pm.
arghh~
do until i dun wan do. -.=

Then met drew, 6.30pm at 888plaza.
Went to buy bbq stuffs.
$60+?
Then carried all the stuffs to his house.
WAH! DAMN HEAVY!

I actually wanted to go for portugal 2-1.

Made my way down to school.
Took a rather short time.
Used Junhao's trumpet.
He didn't come.

Sight read 2 new pieces.

Then played pops in the spots and poccession.
Was still reading poccession~
haha.

Went for lunch at coffeeshop with meiling and kok.
Ate till VERY full.
After eating, kok came over to my house.

We both cleaned 1.5kg of squid
including the slicing part~
took like 1hr +?
haha.

Then sent kok to the bus stop.
Went back home.
Checked out today's matches.

Went down to buy my dinner.
After eating,
went down again to place my bets
from 8.30-9sth.

Waited till 10pm.
Watched the match.
Was so tired that i fell asleep during half-time =X
won the bet. =)

Been 2 days since i update~

-monday-
Purposely wake up at 1.30pm today.
so that i would feel tired at night and hence, can sleep
cuz tues there's F&N.

1st thing that i did after i wake up was to read the papers! last few pages de.
of course i did brush my teeth before reading the papers.
Then went downstairs to cut my hair.
it's so long.
the last visit to the salon was like 1.5 months ago. =D
feel much fresher.

Went home.
Continue doing my F&N.
so tedious.
sec 1 & 2's home econ is a 'propaganda'!
it's so easy in lower sec.
arghh~
nvm.

Chatted with Kat.
Wendy was online.
She's coming back on weds i think. =)

Met drew and joyce, 6.20pm at 888plaza.
joyce was late~
haha.
Placed our bets at spools.
then went home.
Ate dinner.

Watched the 9pm match.

if not, my whole coursework(A) is complete except for some editing that we got to do for evaluation. arghh~

Went for band with kwee.
sight read some scores.
1st time running through the whole piece of 'Pops in the spots' in trumpet 1.
'enka medly 1' was kinda fun~ =X
Band ended at 3pm.

Walked to 888 plaza.
meiling helped me collect $$$ from spools. =D
then ate at kfc.
Shared superman de meal with kok.
Was in KFC till like 5pm.
Acc Kok go cut his hair after that.

He went to bside spools de shop. not the one near 7-11 de.
looks more neat after the cut.

Met joyce while Shaz, Meiling and Guobin went off.
Joyce purposely wore clothes that make her look at an auntie! lol =X
so that she could collect her winnings.
She wrote her mum's i/c number instead of hers at the back of the ticket.

Went to fetch her sis after that.

Today's monday right?
Nearly lost track of the dates. haha.
Have been hiding in my little room for god knows how many days during this holiday.

Joyce is sick, hence, she didn't bet.
If i didn't remember wrongly, i woke up at either 3.30pm or 4pm. =X
Sylvia couldn't say over cuz she went home too late on Sat. -.=
Her dad allowed her to stay over but not her mom.
nvm.
Conferenced with Weiteck and Jiahui for a while.

Went down to vista point and collected my winnings.
Gave my father $10 =)
Placed my bets.
Went home.

Was DAMN HUNGRY!
cuz i ate noodles for dinner on sat 24hrs later, i have not even eaten anything!
Met Jiahui, sunplaza at 8.15pm.
Bought my food from mac quickly cuz the match is starting at 9pm.
Jiahui bought her 'high-class' MOS. -.=

Walked to her house.
was abit paiseh cuz i thought her father was home.
haha.
but he wasn't.
So its only the two of us. (don't let your imaginations run wild hor)

Jiahui's cousin and her cousin's friend joined us shortly after the match started.
It's funny when her cousin talks to his friend. haha.
but cannot laugh out loud ma. cuz ps. haha.
While watching, her father came back.

Her cousin and his friend went off after the match between portugal and iran.
that match was sort of dissappointing. :'( $$
Andrew finally called back after calling him for many times =X
They just finished working.

Kaian didn't want to come cuz he's having his family's father's day celebration in the morning.

Hopes were high for me to win as i walked past mac on my way to fetch andrew to jiahui's house.
cuz Ghana scored a goal in the first few mins.
The match was btw CR and Ghana
They have been the african cup winner for 4 times if i'm not wrong.
Andrew bought a meal from mac and i bought keropok for 7-11.

Walked back to jiahui's house.
She kena scared by me when i called out her name outside her house. lol.
Drew and me were laughing away at how Jiahui reacted to the match.
Her father went into his room and slept after half-time.

Used jiahui's comp for a while cuz there's no hope for me towards that match liao.
Waited for the 3am match.
Italy vs USA.

That match was interesting.
a total of 3 RED CARDS were given!
There was even an injury resulting to blood.
first time watching a match of 10 v 9.
Result was 1-1
there was an OWN GOAL scored by Italy.
In one of the previous world cup, a person was shot dead as he scored an own goal.
Jiahui actually used $80 to bet today!!!
and she lost it overnight.
She was screaming sorta like mad.

Ate maggi after the match.
Finally felt full! haha.
Andrew ate too.
Jiahui copied down the details of the matches to come.
Being the good good me, i helped wash the dishes for jiahui. haha.

Watched RESIDENT EVIL after that.
Rather nice movie.
Andrew fell asleep halfway and he was snoring away.
Jiahui was afraid to watch the movie, hence i was the only 1 watching it.

Sat around doing nothing after the movie.
Woke andrew up and asked him if he wanna go home liao.
Left jiahui's house at 8am without telling her.
haha.
Took 962 home.
Cant wait to sleep. haha.

Was woken up by joycelyn's msg at 12+. arghh~
couldn't fall back to sleep at first but did so in the end. =))
Woken up at joycelyn's call again at 4pm.
I actually planned to sleep till 5pm.
but nvm. -.=
i wasn't angry joyce. haha.

Cleaned the house.
Went to have dinner after that at vista point with my half-sis, brother-in-law and father.
yum! =D
Realised that i have more half-siblings than i thought.
same father different mother.

It was Argentina vs Serbia & Montenegro.
Joyce bet $5 on Argentina (+1 1/2).
Score was 6-0!

Weiteck was constantly going in and out of the conference.
Watched Holland vs Ivory Coast.
Bet $5 pick the score: 2-1
Odds was 6.

Jiahui, on her virgin time, actually used $40 to bet on holland win and HT/FT: H-H.
Still say no money. -.=

First half score: 2-1 already!
Prayed so hard for them not to score anything. haha.
Cold sweat for the 2nd half. Hand all wet. haha.
Damn drew and jiahui! keep wishing for a score. __

Was woken up by eddy's sms and the drilling of wall going on above my unit. -.=
It was 12.30pm only. gosh. so early.
nvm. slacked in the living room.
watched some cartoons. haha.
cartoons are nice to watch okay~
hehe.

Joyce called and wanted me to accompany her to Marsiling. -.=
Met her, 3.45pm at wdls mrt station.
Went to buy paint for her room.
Walked back to buy bubble tea =D
haven't been drinking that for a LONG TIME! haha.
Walked around the area.

Went to check out the odds for today's soccer match.
Spent a long time looking at those screen~
Walked into the betting shop and eyes were like all looking at us. -.=
cuz we were the only teenagers going into the shop at that time.

Waited for bus service 912.
What a long wait.
Took 912 to 888 plaza.
To joyce: get yourself a street/bus directory. haha. jk =X
Saw drew, haoyou and kaian in the salon.
FINALLY EXCHANGED MY SLIPPERS BACK FROM KAIAN!!! haha. =D
but the feeling of wearing both my slippers is weird cuz one side is higher,

T&T SCORED DURING THE EXTRA TIME TOO!!! but it was offside. pnb.

Sylvia only called in for a short while.

Went down to 7-11 while chatting.
bought prawn crackers! haah.

Crapped with kweehong before the soccer match.
Just as the match started, kweehong went offline.

Give joyce a wake up call.
She dozed off shortly after. -.=
mayb she's too tired. haha.
Smsed her and she suddenly stopped replying. =.-
nvm. so i watched the match alone.

Was getting very GOD DAMN impatient!!!!!!!
Germany vs Poland.
It was DRAW for the first half. can you believe? a DRAW. -.=
Germany was UNSUCCESSFUL for every goal they tried to score.
Nvm, still got 2nd half.
Can the goalkeeper for poland GOD DAMN do things FASTER!
haha. he kena yellow card cuz he is wasting precious time.
There were many substitutions.
There was a total of 7 yellow cards and 1 red card given.
3 yellow cards under germany, 4 yellow cards and the red card under poland.
Some goals that Germany tried to score was like CLOSE SHAVE loh.
Ball possession was Germany: 62% Poland: 38%.
The last min goal was made by O. Neuville during the extra time.

Went to the kopitiam.

Grace bought iced teh-o.
I bought liang cha.
Found a place to sit.
Watched the match between France & Swiss.

We bought 10 sticks of chicken satay from this satay man.
The price was $0.50 per stick.
The chicken meat was damn many and heavy.
Not tasty at all though there was alot meat.
The chicken wasn't even marinated!
The satay sauce is also very watery~ arghh~
Grace wanted to use the satay stick to poke that satay man. whahah.

Went to sit outside Shop & Save.
Chatted.
She insisted on going to my house.
but i objected. whaha.
So sat there till 2.50am.

Walked back to the kopitiam.
Just in time for the match between Brazil & Croatia.
Placed a bet for the first time for this world cup.
result was 1-0. wtf.
If Brazil won Croatia by 2 goals, i would have won. -.=

You came into my life and you brightened it up.
To you, i might just be someone who just happen to leave some footprints on the 'beach' of yours and those footprints might even be easily be removed by the waves hitting on the shore.

For no matter what you think, you are still now under my group of best friends even though you do not cherish me.
Frankly, whenever i have problems that i would like to share with some one close, the first person that i would always think of, is actually you. I do not feel safe sharing some problems with others.
I have never drawn upon you as someone i dislike or do not know.

The day for me is boring as usual.
Stayed at home for the whole day.
Was supposed to meet grace for lunch but didn't. -.=
She actually wanted to watch a movie today but didn't also.

Played some games.

haha. difficult to play.

The soccer match between Korea and Togo had just ended.
The score was 2-1.
3 yellow cards and 1 red card.
Later at 12am its gonna be France vs Switzerland
and at 3am its gonna be Brazil vs Croatia.

Thats all for my day today.
am now waiting for joanne to watch the video i sent her weeks ago.

There are several effects of deforestation.

One of the effects is the rapid and increased soil erosion and landslides on hill slopes. (Chong, 2005, p.182) The roots of the trees that once bound the soil together are no longer there and hence, the soil becomes loose. This results in more rapid soil erosion and frequent landslides. When the trees are removed, there is no more leaves nor branches to lessen the impact of the rain on the soil. Instead, the direct impact of the rain on the soil causes the soil to dislodge and hence, also increases the risks of soil erosion and landslides.

Another example of effects of deforestation is the loss of biodiversity. When forests are destroyed, a great number of species of flora and fauna disappear and extinct, whereby some may even carry medicinal value. At the same time, some rain forests animals that are unable to adapt to other environment may also die and extinct. This causes a great loss in biodiversity as more plants and animals are being wiped out. (Chong, p.184) There are also possible changes in the regional climates when deforestation occurs, and these changes can even be related to global warming. Transpiration is reduced when trees are destroyed and hence, there may be lesser or irregular rainfalls. At the same time, slash-and-burn activities result in a great amount of carbon dioxide being emitted. The increased amount of carbon dioxide will hence trap more heat and therefore lead to greenhouse effect, which in turn leads to global warming. (Chong, p.185)

There are basically three main reasons to deforestation.

Firstly, more trees are being removed so as to open up land for farming and agriculture. This is due to the rapid growth in population, especially in the developing countries where birth control is not practised. As the population grows, land area is also needed to build more houses and hence, deforestation is carried out. (Chong, 2005, p.180)

Secondly, forests are being destroyed for economic developments. Cattle ranching are one of the activities that are carried out to gain foreign exchange. The land that is opened up is used as pastures for the cattle. (Chong, p.181) Cattle ranching are being practised as it brings in high revenue due to the big market in developed countries. And since the resources in the forest can bring in revenue, exploitation of the forest is bound to happen. One example would be the Amazon forest where tropical hardwood is extracted to sell to the huge market in developed countries. (Chong, p.181)

Lastly, the government also plays a part in deforestation. The government issues licenses to allow foreign companies to utilise the forest and its resources in an attempt to gain foreign exchange for the economic development of the country and also to repay their debts. It is also difficult for the government to oversee a large and remote forest, therefore, illegal logging prevails. (Chong, p.182)

Woke up at 9.30am today.
Load some songs into my hp. =)
Met drew, kka, weijie, evan, kwee and joyce at adm @ 11am.

Took the train to habourfront station.
IT STARTED RAINING! arghh~
Ate at seah imm hawker centre.
Shared fried prawn noodles with joyce.
Drank sugar cane drink.

Exchanged 1 side of my slipper with kaian. haha.
weird feeling cuz his slipper is heavier.

Took the bus to sentosa while the rain was drizzling.

Took blue line to siloso beach.
