Yesterday was a talk held by Aviation Management & Services:
'Career Prospects in Aviation'
targeted at those waiting for their O'level results.

it all went smoothly. =)
response was so overwhelming that

Its the new year! WELCOME 2008! BYE 2007!

Some highlights of my 2007:

  • FIRST STABLE JOB

Was a part-time employee in Popular Causeway Point. Worked there from Nov 06 to Apr 07. Although the pay was peanuts, the experience was worth the while. I am exposed to the problems in the working world (e.g, immediate retrenchment, bitching, politics). Despite it being not a very favourable job, i got to work with some of my close friends! Anyway, Popular Causeway Point won 2nd in terms of overall operations in the AY 06/07.

  • Travelling abroad to visit my mum

I have not seen my mum ever since my parents are divorced, which was like 2 YEARS. Imagine not seeing your parent for 2 years! 2007 was the year that i was able to travel to Thailand to visit my mum! I travelled to Thailand for FOUR TIMES in 2007 just to spend time with my mum. Can you imagine how tight we hold on to each other on my last trip? That scene is just stucked in my mind. Don't know when would be the next time i am able to see her again.

  • Release of GCE O'level results

Results were not up to what i expected. L1R4 of 11 & L1R5 of 13. I could have done better. But what is done is done. So, got over it soon.

  • Results of choice for further education

When choosing courses, Dip. in Aviation Management & Services (AMS) caught my attention as it is a course with a mixture of business & engineering & related to Aviation. Just what i wanted. Therefore, AMS was my first choice despite the distance factor. I live in Woodlands & Temasek Poly is in Tampines by the way. Was more than happy to get into this course.

  • Swimming as a CCA

For the first time ever in my life, i participated actively in SPORTS.

  • Life never got any busier!

Besides the usual studying, I was involved in many school activities which enriched my life a lot. Was a PackLeader for TPRAWKS, mentor for October orientation, Team Effective in E-guides camp & many more events.

  • Getting to know a bunch of great friends

Although most of my classmates are like 19-23 years old, there was no communication barrier between us. Most of us cliqued along very well.

That's about all i can think of which was significant in 2007.

Hope that 2008 would be a year which i will never forget just like 2007! =)
